any great tips for out of state vacations?

flying to disney world this spring break with my six year old son

Answers:
Large, bright colored lugage tag to spot at the airport pickup. You may think yours is unique until you go to pick it up.

Locks for your lugage while in flight and to lock when you leave your rooms while there.

Always pack at least 1 cold weather outfit.

Throw a few snacks in your purse for the six y/o on the plane, maybe coloring book with crayons too.

Always be very early to airport.

If you haven't made hotel reservations. I suggest staying at a Disney resort. They have some that are no more expensive than a nice hotel room somewhere else. If you stay at a resort, you can take advantage of Disney's Magical Express, which is a service that transports you from the airport to the resort. Once at the resort, there are Disney busses that take you to any of the parks, which eliminates the need for a rental car.

Once you get there, you will probably spend most of your time at the Magic Kingdom. That's where most of the little kid stuff is. Outside of the Magic Kingdom, your son will probably get a kick out of the safari ride at Animal Kingdom. You go out in a jeep and you get to see real animals like giraffes, zebras, and gazelles.

Definately stay in a Disney resort.I don't recommend using the magical express, i've heard that you don't get your luggage right away. You could wait all day for your it, so if you do choose that route, bring a carry on with all the important stuff that you'll need.
I strongly recommend buying the dining plan.Check into that, its definately worth it.
