adult road trips..how to keep each other entertained?

My boyfriend and I are planning a road trip to Minnesota in July. I need ideas on keeping each other entertained during the drive. Any good ideas?

Answers:
I usually just take lots of music to listen to on the way. It's also fun to discuss what you want to do when you get there. The passenger could have some tour books and you could decide where to eat, what to do, etc. It's always fun to plan out the trip. I also like to document the trip, cameras and camcorders are great for this.

Of course there are games like the alphabet game and stuff like that are fun to play on road trips. But probably not so much for adults. Other than that you can always just take a nap if it ig going to be a long trip.

Hope this helps

My husband and I take turns driving and reading to each other. We also play 'What if.' like 'what if we won the powerball, what is the very first thing we would do?' or 'what if our child were offered drugs, how would we approach the situation?' and so on.

See how many time you can make your partner orgasm while behind the wheel, without them losing control.
See how long it takes to steam up the windows and you have to turn on the defroster.
See who can make the lewdest gestures to other drivers as they pass by.
Have Fun!
Just coming to Minnesota should keep you entertained enough, land of 10,000 lakes.
Take an iPod and a good iPod-to-FM or iPod-to-cassette audio adapter. If you get one that has a charger, even better.

You can then listen to your favorite music. Another tip: record some Podcasts from the iTunes music store or where ever, in iTunes, and sync some of those to your iPod as well.

Then, when you are both as tired of your own music as each other's, you can listen to some interesting subjects. There as lots of podcasts on subjects like: new music, technology, Apple products, new things appearing on the web, travel to different places around the world, religion, humor, life, etc.

You could also plan some interesting diversions to take that are just off the route you are taking to your destination.

Roadside food is a little better than it once was, since fast food restaurants have been forced to slightly deviate from their standard burger and fries fare by a pickier public. You can also find Italian restaurants and other things mixed in with the standard American fare.

But, with a little extra preparation at trip planning time, you might find yourself a really good french restaurant, or a Japanese or Korean Hibachi place.

I am including some links to some free high tech sites you can use to really scrutinize what is out there before you get on the road.

Google Earth is pretty cool. You can use it first to scrutinize your route and even find it for you. You can use it to "beat the brush" for things that are nearby the road you are taking too. It will even "fly" you to your destination with a car's eye view of the whole route. It is pretty neat.

Definitely take a digital camera. If you don't have one, get one. They can be had for as little as about a hundred dollars these days. If you have a late model Macintosh or Windows XP computer, you already have the software you need to display/manage/organize your photos. If you have an iPod with a color screen (the Photo or the video iPod) you can even view your digital photos on it.

Also, if you have a Macintosh, getting a mini-DV camcorder can be a real treat. The Macs come with software called iMovie and iDVD that let you import your video from a camcorder that has an IEEE-1394 ("Firewire") interface directly into your Mac. It also lets you edit them. And then you can upload them to the Internet - or use iDVD to burn them to a DVD.

These days you can buy a Macintosh for as little as $499. Something to think about.
