A give somebody the third degree for those that live surrounded by & around heathrow(London & home counties)?

Do you know if you will be affected by the third runway at Heathrow?

Visit www.stopheathrowexpansion.com It list the areas that will be affected.

Visit www.dft.gov.uk/heathrowconsultation which is the executive goverment site.

If it does affect you it would be nice to know your feelings.
I found out two days ago my house is going to be below the flight path. At the moment I am not artificial by noise or planes. I resembling it where I live. With stamp duty it going to cost me lb20000 approx to move. I get the impression like I own been powerfully & truly shafted.

Answers:    Thanks for posting this. Yes, I shall be affected as where on earth I live will be under a flight pedestrian area for the first time. I shall certainly register an objection, and will write to my local MP to ask (to start off with) what their view is around the Heathrow expansion.

Given the prevailing westerly winds here, it would be better -- and probably more monetary in the long-term -- to look at using the Thames mixing bowl as a site for developing an entirely new London airport.
This is *not* only transferring the problem to someone else's "backyard" -- as planes would leave and approach from the marine, the noise and pollution would be dramatically reduced.
And it would be possible to create a larger, more simplified, truly 21st-century airport, while improving public transport links to a poorly served nouns. Eventually, it would show benefits both to the City of London's economy and to residents both east and west.

It sounds -- and would be -- an gigantic undertaking. However, there are accurate precedents from elsewhere in the world: expressly Hong Kong. The old airport (Kai Tak) be right in the middle of the city. The brand new one (Hong Kong International) was built on the island of Chek Lap Kok which be enlarged by reclaiming stop. It's connected to the city by a wonderful high-speed rail cooperation and lots of bus routes.

So it can be done... if the government really have the determination to back London's long-term adjectives. Mmmm... now that's another interrogate. :-/
I live in North West London - Hampstead Garden Suburb. I capture some overflying aircraft from Heathrow and many from Stansted/Luton. Once the extra runway open at Heathrow I
will get their planes/noise too. In my picture expanding Heathrow further is unnecessary; quite apart from the hum and air pollution, in that is hardly an airline within Europe that makes a profit; several many flights run partly empty and the passive quality of Londoners' lives should be considered. It should be possible to create spare dimensions with the existing runways by accumulation extra European cities to the Eurostar rail grating, such as Amsterdam,Nice,Cologne, Geneva etc.
