!!HELP!!... Um... assistance?

OK, so I may be moving to London soon and am very confused nearly locations and such. I have never be there, and am already lost, lol! and slightly frankly, London is huge. People always bargain about east ends and west sides and adjectives of that, and it makes me dizzy! ha!

When I first move, I will be staying beside one or two friends, so hopefully they can show me the ropes a bit. One friend lives near the National drama - what side of London is that on? His sister, who I will be staying with most of the time, is a student at LAMDA - immediately what side of London is that on? Any information you can give me is most appreciated! Figuring out where on earth Central London is, and north london and all of that (and duh, I know north London is north, but what are surrounded by those ares?)

Answers:    London is not as huge as you think. I'm surprised your friend lives close by the National Theatre...it's right on the banks of the Thames and I don't recollect seeing any flats near here. It is almost opposite St. Paul's so it's considered South but it will filch 2 minutes to get to North London. It should appropriate about partially an hour to get from one side of interior London to the other on the tube. LAMDA is in West London but is hugely near medium London (I think it's contained by Notting Hill). Don't worry, the tube is your friend, near are buses everywhere and a lot of it is thoroughly walkable - that's what I do!

Try one of the Tourist website's resembling anyone else would do.
I used to Live in North London. Finsbury Park, Camden, Tottenham, Arsenal are adjectives in North London. Also my former home town of Enfield. To the East is Chingford, Ilford, West Ham,( I know, but its not within the West), and the City of London where adjectives the financial institutions are. The South is a dump Battersea, Lambeth etc. The West has seriously of Indian areas, Ealing, Houndslow, etc. Central is where the Queen lives oh and Chelsea FC. Lots of apposite shopping on Oxford Street. Get an A-Z road map and the rest is up to you. The Tube (subway) shrinks it to a manageable size, and you will OWN the city when you swot to navigate the Tube.
