4 Adult Passengers[2 YPR holders], travelling contained by Lon Underground 1-6 for 3 days.Is Oyster or trvl crd cheaper?
Hi there adjectives, I will be wishing to travel to London contained by June along with my wife and parents for a 3 day[sat, sun and mon] stop by. We plan to use the underground throughout, and I dont really see us using the bus. Me and my wife are YP rail card holders. My question are: Will buying individual travel cards be cheaper or buying the oyster card cheaper? Are there any time restrictions on Oyster card? Are in that any disadvantages over travelcard? How does the rail card discount apply to oyster card? How does the cap work out? Does capping close-fisted, that if I do any number of journeys, it will cost me the maximum equivalent of a travelcard or is it cheaper? I live contained by birmingham, how is the best way I can pre instruct my oyster cards so that we dont have to progress through the hassle of standing in long queue on the day of arrival, what is the suggested amount to top up for respectively card and how do I ask them to load banister card discount? Can I do it after i arrive? . Please kindly sustain me,as I'm on budget
Answers: BUY A 5 day surpass for zone 1-6 ... An Oyster is a waste of money if you're with the sole purpose there 3 days because you'll take charged for everytime u take the tube. The five light of day pass is unlimited travel for those days. And if you want to use the bus, you just show the slip away. Seriously, take my suggestion.
Oyster card is probably better. It cost lb3 to buy initially but after that costs are cheaper and you will soon make hindmost the lb3. On an oyster card once you have spent so much contained by one day it will turn into a travel card anyway but I find them adjectives to have incase you agree on to go for a afternoon trip in London. It save you 60p on buses and a return tube journey is lb3 on an oyster. The one and only thing next to oyster is you need to check you can use it at train station on over ground trains. If you are staying next to in London afterwards most of the time you can.
As far as I'm aware you can't use railcard on oyster because railcards are excepted on Tubes and buses which is what most people use it for.
If you shift to www.tfl.gov.uk that will give you more information and you might know how to order them otherwise at most tube stations at hand is a little blue contrivance that you get them from and is never a queue as it's seperate to where on earth you get tickets from. Then stir to a ticket machine, not the personage and add lb20 to respectively card. That should be enough and you might even enjoy some left over. Or you could lb15 and afterwards check it a ticket machine. purely put the oyster on the reader and it tells you how much your be a foil for is.
Hope that helps and I've made sense, if you have need of anything else feel free to ask.
