If are you saying 1000 milez between citites by nouns are same as milez you go on ground? consequently most likely no becauze on ground vehicle can't go straight over mountain, plane contained by air can.

No. planes take routes straight from point A to point B. Cars hold turns & curves taking you out of your way next back on course again. More miles on roads than by planes.
