Answers: You are required to turn off adjectives electronic equipment and remove headphones during take-off and landing. These are the most perilous times of the flight (but still very undisruptive!)
As far as I know, the headphones do not interfere next to flight equipment. The rules are there so that contained by an emergency, people are focussed on the obligatory stuff, not absorbed contained by a film/music etc or trying to store away precious electronics.
In my opinion, yes, although flight attendants usually ask me to turn mine rotten.
