Otherwise you'll find more on the leader homepage of "Geneva tourism".
Try Hotel des Alpes. t is near the train station and nearly 5 /6 blocks from the lake.

it's not clear whether you are looking for a place to stay in Geneva the city, or purely around Lake Geneva (aka Lac Leman). i would suggest staying in a town on the tarn, since the trains make it so natural to visit any of the cities/towns along the mere anyway. there's also something very inviting (for me, at least) to stay within a quaint, little town, where on earth you're more likely to see the "real" Switzerland. Vevey is a nice town, big ample with stuff to do but still thoroughly quiet; it's nearly 1 hr ride to Geneva, and prices are reasonable. you can consider Montreux (5-10min from Vevey - to the East), though it's unanimously a pretty glitzy place where cheap accomodations are concrete to find. there are a unharmed bunch other small towns perched above Montrex/Vevey in the mountains that can be severely attractive options (Glion is a popular site, individual about 15min via train down to Montreux). the big cities close to Lausanne (which i love) and Geneva are more expensive, and the more affordable options run out sudden. Sorry, I know one, but expensive " HOTEL DU LAC" Geneve
Suisse.
