Among Zurich and Geneva, which city will be more lovely for kids underneath 10 years age?
I will be travelling on train from Paris to either Zurich or Geneva for a 5 daytime visit. I wonder which of these two cities will be more pleasing for our family next to kids ages 6 and 10? Any thoughts.. thank you
Answers: Go to Zurich. It is easier to get around and here will be more to do. Take the tram all over town and remember, a tram ticket get you on the boat that cruises Lake Zurich. They would like the boat ride because you can attain off where on earth you want for a walk or snack and after get backbone on. You could go up to the Rhein Falls (in Schaffhausen) and rob the boat ride that goes beneath the falls. Also consider taking a day trip to Lucerne to Pilatus Mountain. The train ride (or cable vehicle - there are a couple ways to obtain to the top) up is great and on the second level, at hand is a summer sled run that the kids would love. For a day devoted strictly to kids, rent a motor and drive up to Europa Park in Germany a moment ago North of Basel. They'd love it and it is not that far. I took guests with kids at hand and the kids thought it was great. There is a "witches house" restaurant practical Zurich in the hill above Adliswil called the Chnusperhüsli (the Crispy Hut) The staff dress up similar to witches and the dinner is eaten beside your hands (some of the best chicken I own ever had) and then they enjoy a show. It is not scarey at all, and they would hold fun there. Ask at yoru hotel or someone...they will know roughly speaking it. You can take a taxicab there confidently from Zurich. Also, stop by the Lindt chocolate factory store in their plant. They no longer volunteer tours, but the company store is open and the chocolate is at a wide discount there. Call ahead for hours plain because opening times can be goofy in that.
