Anyone ever traveled to Switzerland?
We are interested in traveling to Switzerland and I would love any guidance and costs!
Answers: I did a tour of Swiss cities: Basel, Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, Lausanne, Geneve, and...
WOW they're all superb, clean, sheltered, fairly friendly, cool, and a bit expensive, but really not as expensive as Paris or Rome. My room in Zurich be about $75. Trains are expensive, but I have a railpass that included Switz., so didn't have to settle. I went to a salad pub place where you clear by the pound/grams and I got a nice big plateful and it be about $21. I drank marine and savored every morsel slowly.
Ask someone else about the delicate mountains and skiing/hiking. I'm a city hiker.
Lucerne/Luzern and Zurich be my favorites as cities; Luci was so pretty and Zurich be very cool and urbane next to beautiful architecture and a flea open market by the lake.
I took a train from Lausanne to Chamonix, France. I have to change trains a few times, but one go right through alpine farms and forests. That train ride be unforgettable.
In Lausanne budge to the Musee de l'Art Brut, an exhibit of art done by psychos, criminals, and mentally "ill". It's the coolest art museum i ever visited.

yes. be there done that ! Ive be to to Europe several times and my favorite place is still Switzerland !!
When I went we stayed surrounded by Zurich and just took afternoon trips to different towns. We stayed at 2 different places because the night we arrived our 5 star hotel have given our room away so they moved us over to a place called the Hotel De Theatre (Or something resembling that) for the 1st night and to be honest we like it better then the 5 star place. Also, it be located near the "matured town" part of Zurich and it have a great night existence.SO FUN!
The train system in Switzerland is awesome! We took the train to Lucerne and did a boat tour on Lake Lucerne and later took a cog wheel train to the top of Mt Pilatetus (Im not sure something like spelling) and a cable car fund down...It was AMAZING!! There is a tourist bureau located right in the train station within Lucerne where you can find plentiful things to do...
Also, we took a train to Interlocken which was one of the most charming picture model villages Ive ever be too. You have to see it!!
As far as the costs --- I go back surrounded by 2000 and to be honest I dont remember how much it costs --- Europe in common is pretty pricey -- I wanna say that for every 1 Euro it's 1.50 within US?
I studied in Switzerland is a wonderful place, within my opinion the best city is Geneva something like the cost actually is gentle of expensive (at least for me that I'm from Mexico) but I don`t know if you are from the USA is OK oh by the way don't bring dollars is rock-hard to find were to tweaking them, also if you speak a second language use it because some populace don't like to speak surrounded by English and could ignore you. Switzerland is not cheap! Although you may carry away with some hotel deal in the shoulder season approaching Spring or Fall. I've been to Zermatt, Luzern, Geneva and the most gorgeous I think is Lauterbruennen south of Interlaken. There you can turn to the many Alpine village like Gridelwald, Gimmelwald and Muerren. There are heaps waterfalls that sprinkling off the glacier sculpt granite walls on each side of the dale of Lauterbruennen. You can take different cable cars and trams. Especially nice is up to the Jungfraujoch. There you can see a huge mountain face near glaciers! It's very gorgeous. I hiked one way from Grindelwald to the Jungraujoch in the middle point which is Kleine Sheidegg. I had a most amazing time. When I took the cable motor to Muerren there be a few folksy entertainers beside accordian, singing and dancing near native costumes. Even yodeling, made for a nice atmosphere. There be a vendor selling delectable sausages with beer. Most of Switzerland is nice but I really recommend the Lauterbruennental, especially if you're into temperament!
This is a trip that everyone has to receive, it is heaven on planet. Very small country, its not cheap. The flight there will cost you something like a thousand , and roughly figure a hundred bucks a daylight per person for hotel, food etc. Most of the hotels R fairly small, and try to avoid the 5stars, choose a chalet instead. So charming! Travel is very assured and user friendly with the country. The hill R a shade of green that U have never see before, and the rivers and lake in the mountains , a blue that have no word in the English communication. The food is good too. Summer get all sold out, sop it may be frozen. U can also go backpacking and hostel hopping 4 plentifully less. Try Lonely Planet, Thorn Tree links, the best travel sites. It's nice here contained by Switzerland. I come here every year for 3 months and love it here. Though expensive, you can have a verbs air, nice environment, disciplined population (esp. the traffic) and nice outdoor adventures if you're fun of adventures. Try it! It's true that it's one of the most beautiful country surrounded by the world.
Well, I only really know Geneva as I be born there and spent my rash childhood there until my instant family and myself adjectives emigrated to Eastern Canada within the mid seventies but I have be all over the country on trips beside my relatives, especially in the mountains (Swiss Alps) contained by order to achieve fresh air and exercise through hiking & skiing.
Switzerland is probably one of the most stunning country in the world, save the most beautiful, next to a gorgeous nature, exquisite background everywhere you go, amazing architecture & urban design, extremely verbs environment & living, not to mention an excellent economy!
But don't lug my word for it!
P.S. Switzerland is an extremely safe country to live contained by and to visit near amazingly low, almost non-existent, crime & unemployment rates so, by adjectives means, shift on your trip and enjoy it because I know for a reality that you will have the time of your natural life over there, trust me! After adjectives, I'm a native, remember? Take attention to detail honey & enjoy your break!
A very long time ago. Ask around the Swiss airforce.
They have basis in sheltered valley. One sees a gunfighter diving through a pass into a mountain, or coming out of nowhere. Weird. Get a travel guide. I live within Switzerland. Here, most things are overpriced, so plan to spend a lot. Switzerland is a lovely country. You'll defenintly want to vistit bvern, Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne and Basel. own fun!
