Bridge contained by Switzerland?

My boss went to Switzerland over 20 years ago. She said she go to a town that had a river near a few bridges. One of the bridges was call "The Crying Bridge" because a long time ago when there be a wheat factory there have one of those big water wheel to generate energy and associates would fall contained by the river and get swept away and drown by the sea wheel. The town also have cobblestones and tall skinny white buildings.

Can anyone report to me the name of the wheat factory (it closed down a long time ago), or the town or any information in the order of the bridge? My boss said she searched and search online when she got support from Switzerland for more information but never found anything, and I said I would try.

Thanks!

Answers:    i would translate Crying Bridge into German as "Seufzerbrücke", but this bridge is in Venice (Italy). could it be your boss errs concerning the country?

ok, concerning Venice cobblestones, towering skinny white buildings and a few bridges would be correct but not the river.

another idea - you said something of a wheat factory. this reminds me of Berne the wealth of Switzerland.
the river is called Aare and the building is the Kornhaus/Kornhauskeller (wheat within general can be translated into "Korn". the bridge is afterwards the Kornhausbrücke.
