American-friendly on the other hand authentic Swiss restaurants/bars surrounded by Lucerne?
I'm looking for some really good restaurants/bars contained by Lucerne that are American-friendly that wouldn't be too hard for a non-German speaking entity to enjoy. Any backing is appreciated! I'll be visiting surrounded by the end of May.

Located inside a strangely decorated house (demons, not turn-of-the-century frescos), you can find this traditional Swiss restaurant specializing surrounded by... potatoes! R"osti to be more precise, actually, which are boiled-grated-fried (in that order) potatoes - and they are enticing! And, yes, they like Yanks!
Or try this one: "Old Swiss House", the describe only say it all. An infirm family restaurant near a great wine cellar. L"owenplatz 4, phone: 041 410 61 71. They hang about for you, the Americans!
And then you enjoy "Rebstock"! St.-Leodegar-Str. 3, phone: 041 417 18 19. If you are in Lucerne, don't budge and eat fondue; fondue is from the french part of a set of Switzerland/or from the neigbouring French Franche Comté - here you rather guzzle R"osti and Buurebratwurst (fried sausage). No doubt, they speak English.
Where-ever you see young folks just stop by since they resembling to speak english but almost everywhere in Lucerne they communicate surrounded by english due to many tourist. The Wildenman resturant and pub is freakin awesome! I hold been in that in a few years so I hope it's still around.
a great deal of people contained by switzerland can speak some english esp. in the cities and restaurants.
