Well, I have a perfect friend who lives there and I can assured you that she isn't rich at adjectives!!
Personally I like more other Spanish cities... There are closely of locals residents that have be in Marbella for generation, who go to work, arts school,bars, shops etc purely like any one else.....manifestly they are not rich! They have usual schools, shops, medical centre etc...The 'rich' that live there are foreigners, who come from every other country within the world..buy the expensive properties/boats and have created their own little 'rich' world down surrounded by the Puerto Banus. And with money comes corruption, drugs, etc, who desires that? Marbella also has state/council housing too, again for local citizens to send their kids to arts school, and the equivalent of our NHS service.

It helps if your rich as your paying for the popular autograph. I live about 1 hour from Marbella and earnings alot less than the Marbella nouns...even buying something like McDonald's is more expensive within Marbella.if you want value for money consequently live somewhere else. Depends where contained by Marbella you want to live. There are some beautiful places that are costly, but resembling all tourist places, at hand are some pretty seedy cheap areas aswell.
NO, you don't hold to be rich, but it helps, but adjectives along the costa you can live how you wish, if you enjoy the money live the style for Marbella, I live In Benalmadena, its cheaper, although even here some things are still not as cheap as inland areas, but the cost of living is still much, much cheaper than in the UK, petrol, booze, vegs, taxes, rates, etc.,
try it you will not want to walk back to the UK beleive me! I own been here 25 years! No but I agree it does give a hand out. Alot of Millionaires live there.

Marbella and the costa del sol generally are full of citizens that a)genuinely do have money b)Think they enjoy the money till they arrive then realise its a different world.
Live somewhere else smaller quantity pretentious Why would you want to live in Marbella? Everything costs too much near and the company is pretty iffy too. Try Moraira!
I lived in Marbella for 7 years. You can live a usual life near, though as others have already said it is awfully expensive.
If you are definate about the Marbella location consequently it would help to speak somewhat spanish [though most Spaniards speak english], but if you want to work there you will benefit from the words.
Escuala De Idiomas[school of languages] in San Pedro is excellent for spanish courses and i importantly recommend them. There are of course other Spanish classes contained by other areas.
If you were thinking of Fuengirola or Torremolinos or San Pedro, Estepona for EG these places are smaller quantity expensive and San Pedro and Estepona are more Spanish too.
The life is fabulous in that though and yes there is the factor of bad reputation surrounded by Puerto Jose Banus like the others own mentioned but quite honestely you can live a usual happy life span without any contact or distruption from any of this...I do beleive adjectives of our cities have fruitless reputations in abiding area too.
I do not regret living here and my life benefitted as a result and I hold many satisfied memories. You need to be natural and have a organised plan since you go.

Even so it's not over the top if you shop around.
you, since you can effortlessly just marry rich. i live in that and i'm certainly not rich you own to eat, shop and commonly do what the locals do and it's not as expensive as people produce out.
on the other hand near is puerto banus that i cant even afford to pay the saloon parking charges there

Marbella is an awful place where profoundly of corruption, ne1 wanna live here, except the sun and the sea. But u can find that contained by some other places in Spain which are better approaching Cadiz, Mallorca, Bilbao, Barcelona...
