Pilgrim Passport for the Camino within Sarria, Spain?
Is there a place contained by Sarria (Spain) to pick up a blank Pilgrim Passport or do I need to step out of my way to a big city cathedral to achieve one? I plan on taking the night train from Madrid to Sarria and start walking towards Santiago de Compestelo from here. I've set aside 5 days to do this. What do you recommend?
Answers: There are several towns by the name of Sarriá surrounded by Spain: one near Vitoria, one close to Lugo, one near Bilbao, and a fourth one Sarriá de Ter close by Girona. Which one are you referring to?.. Once you add that information I'll be capable of give you a carnival answer... Also if you know the distance between the Sarriá you refer to, and Santiago de Compostela, it would also be helpful.

OK...next to the added info... You can get the "Credencial" at an address within Lugo that you will find at the following website:
http://www.caminosantiago.com/index.htm
For it to be validated you own to do at least 100 kms. by shank`s pony, bike or horseback and have the credencial stamped at respectively stop you make on the route, any at the local parish or pilgrim association office ...
I hope you soak up the experience... I have kith and kin who have done the road, and speak that it is a wonderful feeling, the comradeship, self satisfation, nourishing exhaustion, etc. All worth the stab!
