I would like to stay longer than the summer first, possibly up to a year, but I"ll take what I can receive. Thanks for your help!
Answers: I am an American who have been living and working rightfully in Spain since 1992. As another entity said, it is extremely difficult, but not impossible, to work legally within the country. The fact of the issue is that most potential employers do not want to spend in dribs and drabs their time legalizing anyone who is basically going to be around for a little while. But beside perseverance you may find someone who is interested surrounded by taking you on as an intern...or working illegally contained by the service industry.
Another option is to come to study "something" and you can them work surrounded by the related field for obtain job experience.
long hours little euro What character of work are you looking for? If it is the temporary, summer work type, it will be difficult to catch legally.
I take in that the visa situation is this: if you are NOT a member of the EU, you can't procure one. Can't get a visa, can't work officially, not on your own.
That said, you may be able to win something through CIEE, or some similar exchange program. Try searching Work Exchange Programs. cooperation to Spain.
