Driving from Tijuana-CaboSanLucas on Highway 1(8-10hrs a day)which cities are best to stop within for the darkness?

I'm going to start doing my research for the trip but wanted a bit of a head's up as to what cities would be apposite to make stops contained by for the night on our path to Cabo San Lucas, giving around 8-10 of driving time per day, hope someone can minister to! :)

There very few cities contained by the penisula so plan ur trip.
