Is "MX" or "MEX" the short way around for Mexico?


Answers:    For internet use is always mx, like"www.yahoo.com.mx"
MX is close to the international abbreviation.
In México we other use three or four letras, let me show you some mexican states and its abbr.:
Aguascalientes: Ags.
Jalisco: Jal.
Querétaro: Qro.
Chiapas: Chis.
Sonora: Son.

So, México is Mex. In USA they use other two:
California: CA
Minnesota: MN
Washington: WA

So, for international use we abbreviate México as MX, but here in México we prefer to use Méx. and writen merely like that: MX or Mex.

I hold always used MX but MEX is also standard. MX is more commonly accepted, but both are ok.
