Able to enter?
My 11 month old and I are planning our trip to Mexico (we are staying for pious... in other words, we wont requirement a passport for re-entry). I also know that in proclaim to enter Mexico you have to hold a notarized letter from the father since it will be only just she and I. He is not listed on the birth card, and he is in Mexico so I am incompetent to obtain his signature. He will be picking us up at the airport, though.
She have a birth certificate and a photo ID, and I own my passport. Will we be allowed to ENTER?
Answers: I'm not sure if you're planning a trip or moving to Mexico. If you are moving to Mexico, you need to contact the nearest Mexican Consulate going on for the correct visas for yourself and your child. A tourist visa will not do--you will pay hefty fines. If you are married to your daughter's father, it will gross things much easier.
If the father is not listed on the birth permit, that is a problem. You stipulation the permission of whoever is nominated as the father in command to travel with your child to Mexico. If it is incorrect on the birth qualification, that needs to be taken nurture of.
If you try to enter Mexico via air lacking a passport, you will be hassled similar to you wouldn't believe by immigration. Trust me, I went through it contained by 2002. I made sure everyone in my group and myself adjectives had passports when we go the following year! Your daughter may need proof at some point of her citizenship--get the passport. It's in good health worth the trouble and expense.
If your child's father is Mexican, your child is considered Mexican while she is in Mexico. She should after have two passports, since she will enjoy dual citizenship.

Right now you assume you wont be retuning to the U.S., but you may change your mind...or want to jump back for a call in...Get her a passport. you need signature of both parents to procure a pssport. or you can have a signed, permission(notaried) from the father. Have him write that, draw from it notarized and Fed-Ex it to you. You really need that passport and a dispatch of permission from him. he wants to write a letter for you to find her a passport...his permission...and a notification of permission to bring her to Mexico..both parcels notarized...then he can fed-ex both to you. I doubt if you can attain an Fm3 visa to Mexico because of the income requirement, so you can come on a 6 month tourist visa. But then you will own to renew that every 6 months at the border...or get an fm3 visa when you and the father go and get married. Otherwise you will have a awfully difficult time getting permission to stay surrounded by Mexico...they will deport you with glibness. It would be wise to call on the nearest Mexican consulate and discuss all this near the officer there. Again...Do capture her a passport...she is an American citizen and you want to protect that...believe me...it will come in handy latter. Life in Mexico may be immensely different than you anticipate.
