For adjectives Cancun people..How do you avoid the society within the airport selling the ridiculous time share?
This will be our 2nd trip to cancun, and I remeber last time we be immediatley greeted by the people here selling timeshare. Yeah we get some sort of excursion for a great deal but we enjoy to give them 90 minutes of our time which turns into 8 hours because they try to bring back you to do time share. But anyways how do we avoid them, better yet how do you avoid them? Btw I saw this on 20/20 too concluding friday and some of them are scams...:(
Answers: Just read aloud "No gracias" and keep walking. Try to be nice/polite these inhabitants are just trying to take home a living. If you are polite and they continue to bug you afterwards feel free to lash out madly. ; ) Just kidding on that ending point, but you don't really have any necessity to acknowledge them or be nice to them at that point.
One thing you should consider though, copious of these people are hand out "Cancun tips" Magazines, they are worth taking for the coupons, maps and broad info on the area. I usually a short time ago take the magazine but politely recount them I'm not interested in anything else.

I own no interest I wish nought and leave me alone will take them off your bag and it is not really rude but if they dont want to give up on you later use the last and flap your pointer finger back and forth while pointing it to the sky.
I am rather sure that all Mexicans get the pointer from a very infantile age

Remember they trade name a living selling things(God Bless Them) I dont like individual hounded by the guys that say "Hey chew lukeing for a chafe o una senorita"
Personally, my husband and I keep walking and only ignore them. This happen everywhere in Puerto Vallarta also! It is annoying & some might be scam, so your best bet is to keep walking and don't stop to listen! They are merely trying to earn a living but if you are not interested, well, you are not interested! Put your guide down and keep walking till you acquire out of the terminal. Don't stop, don't ask questions, hold on to going till you get out. You will see your tour hand representative with a sign if you hold transfers included.
If they insist, just right to be heard no thanks and maintain walking. They are very friendly and pushy. Just read out NO.

This is a simple problem to avoid. don't stop to converse to them, just hold on to walking and tell them you aren't interested. Main point to remember here is to not give within. Think of it like the ppl at the precinct trying to sell you on their credit card, or the perfume carrying out tests lady surrounded by a department store, you just influence "No thanks" and keep walking. Good luck! THE BEST WAY TO AVOID THEM IS JUST NOT TO MAKE EYE CONTACT AT ALL AND KEEP WALKING. PRETEND YOU DO NOT EVEN SEE THEM....THAT WAY THEY WILL SEE NO WEAKNESS. KEEP WALKING UNTIL YOU GET THROUGH THE GLASS DOORS AFTER THE LAST SECURITY CHECK POINT. DO NOT STOP FOR NOTHING. IT IS NOT WORTH THE FREE TOURS THEY OFFER..DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY ATTENTION. I NEVER HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THEM BECAUSE I DO NOT GIVE THEM OPPORTUNITY TO APPROACH ME.
They won't stop bother you unless you utter:
"Thanks, I have bought one already, that's the foundation I'm here"
"Gracias, Ya compré uno, por eso estoy aquí"
For the best advice bid 1-888-862-3806. The Mexico Experts, they are in Cancun and can arrange everything. Ignore them and don't clear eye contact. Or just say aloud you have a ride waiting so you are surrounded by a rush.
My husband and I just kept chitchat to each other, and unseen them all as we go past. We didn't even acknowledge that we saw them. No one tried to stop us. Famous statement "We own time share" but I don't even bring in eye contact with later.That workd too.
One thing that works powerfully is to simply tell them that you already own a home contained by the area. Say no and preserve walking
