Should my mom and I step to zejuanajho or playa del carmen?
We had planned to shift to zjuajho but now we are thinking of pdc.
We really want a tranquillity, small place on the beach to stay. Does that exist contained by pdc? And cost we dont want more than $112 a night if at all possible. If you have be to z or to pdc let me know what you muse. Totally confused in Portland Oregon
Answers: Go to Zijuatanejo , Tropical Depression ERIN due to hit the Cancun peninsula, The tail winding up of Hurricane Dean is expected to swing around too.
I personally prefer Cancun, but even the depressions misses Cancun the humidity will be unspeakable.
Flights may be canceled it is too close to official hurricane season.
this is funny because i'm from portland originally, and i of late came subsidise from Zihuat. i love zihuat and i highly recommend la playa del ropa as the best shoreline. there is also la playa principal (the prime beach) and la playa moderno...another pretty good sand.
my HUGE mistake was renting a bungalow that be not close enough to the river. in my evaluation, if you stay there, it is imperative that you enjoy a hotel within a block or two of the shoreline, if not the deep front. and it must have a pool. the weather is unbelievably hot, you will not last more than a few minutes contained by the sun if you're walking. within your budget, this is VERY do-able.
zihuat is small, and various of the hotels are "boutique-ish" you may not find a large resort, but the internet have plenty of places.
on the beach, if your hotel does not own private access.you can rent an umbrella and chairs for 10-15 dollars a day. (ps...you still suntan under the umbrella!! be cautious! i recommend 10am to 2pm. and then afer 5pm)
zihuta is a fishing rural community...very small and precious. it's a great place simply to relax, catch up next to your mom and enjoy ability time together. it's not for nightlife. however, if you have a craving for that, ixtapa is inwardly 10 minutes.
Definately PLAYA DEL CARMEN! Both destinations are nice, but with some small diffferences. Playa del Carmen is on the Carribbean while Zihuatenejo is on the Pacific. Both are relativley small places and straightforward to get around and will hold everything you will need for a great break. It shouldn't be a problem finding a hotel in your price breadth in any place.
Personally, I prefer Zihuatenejo.I just get the impression more comfortable there but I enjoy friends who are just the converse and prefer Playa del Carmen. Why not plan two trips and stay one place this time and the next time try the other. Below are some links that may minister to you decide. You can't really choose wrong because both places are winner...Have a great trip!
