Are gays agreed surrounded by mexican culture?
Are they more accepted today than utter, compared to 50 years ago?

contained by short, i would say no. i enjoy a friend who would certainly lose his mission if people found out he be gay. he has a "girlfriend" on standby, who go with him to party and dinners and such. it's really terrible and i have a feeling badly for him.
however, nearby are pockets where gay individuals can feel totallly comfortable. puerto vallarta have a large community, mexico city, guadalajara, and some cities own "underground" gay clubs. my friend doesn't have trouble scheduled time people, but again, most of these populace have not "come out" and they are adjectives hiding.
what i do see is a HUGE amount of denial. as in, "cousin armando and his roomate, whom he's have for years, are coming to christmas dinner." it's like the elephant contained by the room. for some people, they do anything they please, and as long as they don't actually confirm they are gay, everyone is prepared to turn a blind eye.
but i would say, as beside most of the world, being gay immediately is more accepted than 50 years ago. but mexico is far bringing up the rear US culture.

There are a lot of gay Mexican men, but they are 'out' just in specific clubs or locations. Mexico, close to the U.S., is more accepting, but don't want it in their obverse, especially in the rural areas. Be discreet. Machismo is alive and powerfully in Mexico. Would sustain to get a guide to gay friendly lodging and other sites. yep i feel they are, but there are still alot of empire that don`t accept them.

In more sophisticated, upper class circles, yes, much more so than even 10 years ago. In working class family, its still considered shameful. Cruising can be dangerous to your strength particularly surrounded by Tijuana. Gays are a big part of Mexican culture especially if you conside bisexuals gay. One of the reason the the high rate of HIV infection among women surrounded by Mexico, and all of LatinAmerica surrounded by general, is the glorious number of married men who have gay affairs on the side.
The method Mexican culture looks at gays is rather individual. There is acceptance, in that is denial, there is ridicule and near is admiration. I see plentiful cases of young gays who hold the support of their families. Of course here are still families that completely do not accept it. You enjoy some of the married men who consider themselves machos. When they have gay relations they are the stirring partners, the ones doing the access. Since they themselves are not being penetrated they do not consider themselves gay.
Here surrounded by Mexico, as in other places, within is a stereotype of gays being more artistically inclined, more intellectual, more skilled and of generally have better taste contained by all aspects of go.
The two main TV networks contained by Mexico, Televisa and TV Azteca, both employ big numbers of gay actors, speech and game show hosts, and communication announcers. Paradoxically much of their programming makes fun of gays.

In summary, yes gays are accepted. Two years ago the federal gvt. passed a directive on sexual diversity and equal rights for people regardless of their sexual situation.
I would say that gays can be more begin about their preferences that 50 years ago, simply like anywhere else contained by the world.
Yes as the Mexican Macho image is disappearing and the country is going into more decadence, gays are in a minute a part of the culture around tourist frequented spots. . . .and so is HIV/AIDS. . .take care Things are better than they once were, but culture in the U.S. are far more accepting of gays than the Mexicans are. If you are gay and going to Mexico, you should be alright contained by any of the cruise ship tourist destinations. Discretion is the key.

I live in Mexico and I can inform you there are like mad more gay people than past, however our culture is not open to discuss sexuality anyway, straight or gay.
We live surrounded by a conservative society and there is abundantly of discrimination towards gay ancestors.
I hope this changes (not that I am gay), because I quality we have to be a tolerant heavenly society, but I don't see that happening contained by Mexico very soon.
At the beach it is more accepted because in attendance are many tourists.
In small cities it is comparatively criticized.
Leon, Monterrey, Aguascalientes, Tijuana, Queretaro, etc. have particularly closed societies.
