Answers: We stayed just South of Cancun and North of Playa Del Carmen within the Riviera Maya. We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar. It is a gorgeous place with lots of deeds. They also have Lucys kids club explicitly free of charge for the kids to play with other kids, fashion crafts, go swimming, and involve yourself in in a nightly kids show. They also enjoy a playground there. They also hold nightly entertainment, a disco, and great restaurants. In the last two years, I go there for 14 days and the other time be for 10 days to the same resort.
It is an Apple Vaction and Fun Jet Vacation Hotel. The staff is severely friendly, nice rooms, and not one complaint about it. Type into google Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar contained by Riviera Maya, Mexico and you will be able to see adjectives the great stuff with this resort specifically all inclusive.
Also, if you are worried going on for getting a "bug" from eating the food, to be exact a risk when you go to any international destination. You can progress to the walk-in clinic and let them know the circumstances and they will know how to get you the right pills.
Also, Playa Del Carmen is 30 minutes away which is where on earth all the shopping is. The resort have complimentary tour bus that drops you off and picks you up. The times are really pretty good as well and you never own to worry nearly getting picked up because the bus will be there.
Have fun! I know you won't be disappointed next to this hotel.
I suggest you go to Playa Del Carmen. It is much more line oriented, Cancun have a club type atmosphere. PDC has a few bar and is very laid hindmost. The main street surrounded by PDC is 5Th Ave., there is plenty of shopping, restaurants and a few small bar. You will be able to pace around and take the toddler all over PDC. Check out tripadvisor.com to find out information in the order of PDC hotels. Make sure you find a map so you can see how close the hotels are to town. Some are pretty far away.
Everything you may want to see is located around or south of PDC. Xcaret is 5 min. away and Xel-Ha\Tulum is just south. You can check out playatrips.com to find out something like these eco-parks and ruins. I highly recommend playatransfers.com for ground transportation to and from the airport.
PDC is one and only 40 miles south of Cancun, so you just appropriate a van to your destination. There are some real nice hotels surrounded by the area and even some great condos. Playacar Palace (All-Inclusive) is a great hotel contained by a great location a two minute walk to the south fall of 5Th Ave. (Xaman-Ha condos, xhcondos.com next door to Playacar Palace is another option)
Best time of year to call round, winter time is great weather in the 80's, spring time is also awfully nice. Summer and fall are tricky because of the Hurricane season and it is impressively hot. (90's) (most active months are August thru November)
The stomach bug comes from local thump water, a moment ago about everyone offer bottled water. Stay away from anything made from the touch water and you will be basically fine. Bottled water rules surrounded by Mexico, it's everywhere.
