We are cruising to Cozumel in January. What sould we do there?

Answers:
Cozumel was hit pretty bad by Hurricane Wilma, so be wary of any advice I give you .things could really be different out there! The only town, San Miguel, has a central plaza known as Parque Benito Juarez but often referred to as the zocalo. Shops, restaurants, and hotels surround the zocalo and since the whole area is blocked off to traffic, it's a great place to people watch and sightsee! (Though be warned, it's pretty crowded too.)

Running parallel to Avenida Melgar is the malecón, an ocean-side boardwalk decorated with sculptures commemorating events in Cozumel's history. Follow it north to the tidy Museo de la Isla de Cozumel to learn more about the Maya. Downtown San Miguel is also the place to find family-owned hotels with lower prices and a more Mexican atmosphere. When the plaza or main streets get congested from cruise ship traffic, walk east from 25 Avenida A onwards into the more residential neighborhoods, where the small tiendas (stores) and markets charge local prices.

I found all this and more at Yahoo! Travel. Have a great trip! Best,

`k.

Fiesta Party boat excursion is really fun. It has beach time and a lot on party boat festivities.

Also, "Carlos and Charlies" is a MUST in Cozumel.

The beach and the coral reef are one of the best I have seen in my live, you should go snorkeling or diving. It is a must!
We have been to Cozumel many times. I love going to Dzhul-Ha.
this is an area that is advertised on the taxi boards. It is very low-key. There is cold beer there, usually food, the snorkeling is wonderful.
You will see boats bring people and drop them off right in front of you.
have fun!
