Call Verizon, before you will the country and ask them to add the skilfulness to send/receive calls while you are contained by Mexico.
Also check with them as to the availability of service. They a moment ago lost some contracts with Mexican cellular service providers contained by that country, so that limits service areas.
It should, Carlos Slim(world's richest man) is owner of Telmex(mexican cell co.) and have shares in verizon or something approaching that. I don't know. Anyways, my dad took his phone a couple of years ago and it worked fine. It only charged him roaming while he be there. The call however could be made locally, example: calling in same nouns code xxx-xxxx
Same thing beside my aunt who also has verizon.
We be able to use our Verizon phones on the ship but not on ground. Most of the ships have the current cellular towers. How could I know, check your cell phone services.
