Cancun and belize?
how far is it from cancun? what do i need to enter? how undamaging is...crime? is it modern or poverty?
Answers: Since the previous person responding could not speak for Belize, I will appropriate a shot.
He is right about the travel times - no requirement for further comment.
Assuming that you are a US citizen then afterwards all you will entail is your passport. They will ask why you are in the country and how long you intend on staying.
How undamaging - generally most places within Belize are safe. The place that you obligation to be the most careful is Belize City (as you inevitability to be in most bigger cities contained by any country). Just keep to the more populated parts of the city and you should be fine.
Modern or poverty - both. There are parts of Belize that are clean and very modern but more section of Belize that are poverty stricken. However, I have found that although oodles parts of Belize may not look as nice as the States there are copious fantastic people here who are worth getting to know. There are also parts of Belize that are tremendously beautiful - disposition, ruins, etc.
This is all to say-so come down and have a great time.
From Cancun it's 4 hrs drive within the car probably 5 or 6 hrs surrounded by bus. to the border and if you want to go to Belize city its another 4 hrs drive. Cancun is safer than anywhere else but I cant voice that for Belize.
