Is it undamaging to travel by bus surrounded by Mexico at darkness?
We are two female university students travelling from Mexico city to Palenque (in Chiapas) and next a small town on the coast neat Oaxaca. All the direct buses from mexico city to Palenque are dark buses which leave within the evening and arrive in the morning, (~16 hours) do you deduce it is safe for us?
Answers: Like masses others here,I also think you will be in recent times fine.On the late hours of darkness buses it is not unusual to be stopped and boarded at random military checkpoints during the darkness.They usually just do a cursory force out and you are on your way again surrounded by a few minutes.The only plea I mention it is that it can be a little disconcerting if you hold never had it come to pass before and are not expecting it.

Yes, if you grasp your purses or put them below your feet when you sleep. The places that you will call round are peaceful and massively reasonably undisruptive.
Most people are tourist friendly, but don't push: if don't own to mention you're americans, don't do it.
Yeah you'll be fine, most of the crimes happen at the border and not adjectives over the country like masses poeple think.
I've be in mexico several times, i studied there and lived for some months nought bad happend to me. everybody be very nice to me. You'll be fine. . . I did almost alike thing (from Mexico City to Oaxaca) finishing year, and I didn't have any problems. And I be all alone!
NOT AS SAFE IKNOW OF THREE PEOPLE THAT WERE ROBBED AT NIGHT. ONE JUST LAST YEAR.
