Can I cross the border and fly out of Tijuana to Cancun?
I want to attend a friend's wedding contained by Cancun next month. I'm a filipino citizenship residing surrounded by Los Angeles. I lost my philippine passport and only hold my greencard at the moment. With the current law, a passport is in a minute required to fly from US to Mexico/Canada. Can I walk across the border within Tijuana and fly out of Tijuana airport to Cancun without any problem? I hear that's still ok but only until the finish of this year. After that, there'll be a new canon requiring a valid passport to cross the Tijuana border by foot.
Answers: You need the passport to come wager on to the US, not to enter Mexico. If you walk, according to what is person done right now, at hand should be no problem. You need your visa (or green card) and a photo Id.

Edit:
I'm sorry, ethnic group from the Filipines need a visa within order to enter Mexico (not individual your passport). You need to be in motion to an embassy and get your immigration form, you would stipulation your green card and passport .

good luck.
Mexican authorities may expect you to enjoy a passport to fly within Mexico; they're not feasible to accept your green card. You should check beside the Mexican gov't, and your potential airline.
I'd see if the Phillipine gov't could expedite a replacement passport.
worst case scenario, you may stipulation to go to Cancun by surface transport (bus).
