If so, what was it resembling? What are the sites to see? Any specific recommendations within terms of dining etc?

Answers:    I Love Cabo... There is a fantastic resturant "Mi Casa" within downtown Cabo I had their Carnitas it be the special that night, they own someone making tortillas for your meal..I come to pass to love tortilla soup and theirs was the best. of adjectives the resturants in town. We go to one of the timeshare presentations and ended up next to a trip out to the Sea of Cortez 3 hours at sunset on the Buccaneer Princes a pirate ship, totally awesome the show was great adjectives the drinks included, saw 2 whales breach. Also $250.00 in dosh (american) and dinner at another great resturant on the water. Also go on a glass bottom boat. All the timeshares hand over out wonderful things like swim near dolphins, fishing for a day the schedule goes on & on. We go to the Mayan Hotel presentation.. Shopping is great in Cabo
Los Cabos contains both San José del Cabo & Cabo San Lucas (which is repeatedly referred to as simply "Cabo".)

Like much of Mexico, San Lucas is generally thoroughly poor but the town caters to tourism and therefore have many restaurants and barn dance clubs. etc. The sport fishing (and whale watching) is also excellent!

San José, however, I found to be very charming. Personally, I feel that is be cleaner and better maintained. There are some exceptionally good restaurants and shops (check out "Copal" for great silver jewelry and interesting artwork.)

Be secretive of purchasing anything from street vendors. Prices and talent can be sketchy. Also, people will bring up to date you not to drink the water. The exception is that surrounded by the "touristy" restaurants and in the nicer hotels, they use filter or bottled water. Think nearly it, they don't want their patrons getting laid up with the trots--nobody would come pay for again!

Basically, you can find whatever you want there--you'll hold fun. Try an all inclusive resort--all you can guzzle and drink and some good amenities.

One final suggestion:
In San José, go to The Presidente resort and rent some ATV's out within front. The tour is FANTASTIC. It's some of the most fun I've EVER had. They lift you into the hills and dunes along the coast and you can go as hastily as you want. It's awesome.

Have fun!!
Been goin to Cabo yearly for previous 6 years. Get ready to body hard (a) El Squid Roe, best ribs at a small restraunt contained by town La Prillada (sp?) (the Grill). Great food for then price. Check out Enrique's for yummy lobster dinners. You've get to take a river taxi out to El Arco and afterwards spend the day at Lover's Beach. Although it's rural-"no pottys" Great fishing within the fall (Aug-Nov) although that's hurricane season. Be cautios of drinking river in retraunts surrounded by town. Most of the bigger resorts have desalination plants and you can without risk drink the water, so don't trip up for the hefty $4.00-$8.00 prices for bottled h2O. Ask first. Cabo Wabo and the Giggling Marlin are nightime hotspots. Rent jetskis there and rent a motor here in the states. You do want Mexican insurance, however contact your credit Card company to find out what you are covered for in Mexico. You might be suprised. It's cheaper if you rent from here contained by the states rather than here. There are very convincing sale folk can take good thing of you quickly. Dollar rentals are SUPER confident to deal next to. Avoid all of the timeshare sale reps at the airport by having your vehicle rented in finance or if you're staying at a resort, find out if they'll pick you up for a small fee. Good agency to avoid the timeshare riggamaro! Cabo was tons of fun...obtain ready to acquire ur drink on. Go on the jungle tour, a sunset booze cruise, rent jet skis, spend a daylight on Lover's Beach!!
