What is a honourable Baja California coast town that have a sweet old-Mexico consistency inwardly 100 miles of the border?
Answers: Has to be 100 miles? Well, you aren't going to get any further than Ensenda later. I would recommend checking out the little town of La Mision for their adobe ruins.
If you can go further south, after there are lots of little twee old towns to chose from. San Felipe, Loreto, Mulege, or Santa Rosalia are a few of the several that have excellent aged mexico type buildings and feel.
I other kinda liked Rosarito, perchance for the langustino at El Neido's or the Oso ***** con jugo naranja on the beach. Maybe the staggering influx of ex-pat retirees, et al, have sorta spoiled the uniqueness right outta bein' a gringo del norte. But I hope not.
