Can anyone notify me how much does it rainfall within Cozumel within Aug and is it essentially contained by the evening?
Answers: I stayed in Playa Del Carmen (a 1 hour ship ride from Cozumel) from Aug. 11th to Aug 18th and it only rain one day. Every other daytime was clear and really hot. I don't feel August is a particularly raining cats and dogs month.
yeah, its chucking it down at the moment, but it rains at any time, you can't communicate what chaac's (mayan rain god) up to. I be in Cozumel Sept 1-15th and it rain for about 2 minutes contained by the morning around 7:00 am each morning. After that it was pretty and really hot. I would imagine August would be similar, however in that is always a hit and miss of a lot more rainfall during this time since it's hurricane season.
I've only be to Cozumel once and am planning a trip later this month. I other use weather.com as a resource to determine rainfall by month at any location I'm planning to visit. Just enter your destination and find the 'averages and records' contact and click. At the bottom of the page you will see average precipitation by month. August averages 4.8" of rain, but is also the hottest month near an average of 89 degrees day after day. Have a great trip.
