Can you still climb to the top of Chichen Itza?
Answers: As others have said no, but if you obtain there at the right time of light of day you can go inside the pyramid of Kulkukan (El Castillo) and see a Jaguar thrown and a Chac Mol from an more rapidly pyramid. There's a picture of both on the sites below:

I'll look round and see if I can find the hours but I believe it's only for a couple of hours everyday.

I found one site that said this concerning the hours:
"The stairway is open from 11am to 3pm and is cramped, usually crowded, humid, and humiliated - not for those with claustrophobia. A call in early within the day is best. Photos of the jaguar integer are not allowed."

I be there surrounded by march of 2006 and they have it blocked off. Our tour guide said that this be done to protect it. i think they stopped culture from doing that a few years ago, it was cause too much damage.
yes, we did it 3 years ago . wonderful. No, they open them a few months back for the exotic 7 wonders campaign, but they are deteriorated both because of man, and weather, so they are trying to hold on to them in pious condition.
But it is still a beautiful place to pop in, many things surrounded by the archaeological ruins, not just the big palace.
