Are here annoying peddlers contained by Cancun resembling surrounded by the Bahamas?
I hated self hassled by population looking for money in Nassau. Does this occur in Cancun?
Answers: If you move about into the markets next yes, people will call for out "come into my shop" and things like that but a simple "no gracias" works fine if you are not interested.
If you stay within the upscale malls then no. Generally, walking around surrounded by the hotel zone you won't be bothered. Don't get worked up almost it, you're on holiday. Relax, remember "no gracias".
Here let's practice:
Shop owner: "Hola, come into my shop"
You: "No gracias."
Shop owner: "You want silver? I have silver?"
You: "No gracias."
Shop owner: "Tequila?, T-Shirts?"
You (as you verbs walking): "No gracias. Adiós"
Shop owner: "Adiós"
No problem, don't get worked up - relax, relish, live longer. :)
Of course, tourism is Mexico's number one money maker!! No.
