Where does my concluding moniker MONTIEL come from? (again)?
(I asked again because I asked this before at 3AM and not a soul was even up to see it).
I be born in Chicago, IL and my kith and kin is from Mexico. My parents were born within Mexico, my dad's parents were born surrounded by Mexico (I got my final name from my dad), and I don't know the rest. But I be not sure if the name MONTIEL come from Spain. If so, am I Spanish as well since I be related to someone who came form Spain to Mexico. I am confused. . .
(And I hold also asked this question surrounded by 3 other categories).
I did ask my parent but they don't know any family beyond their own grandparents. I want to know what folks know of this name. Are near people within Spain with this second name.
I guess I call for to ask my grandfather, my dad's dad, and he lives in Mexico.
Answers: I'm from Chicago too. Both of my parents are from Mexico. You could enjoy Spanish ancestors especially if you have frothy skin and light eyes. I own light skin and some of my relatives hold blue and green and hazel eyes and my dad says its because here was probably abundantly of Spanish ancestry in our house. Or the Spaniards came over to Mexico and married inhabitants who were Mexican.
Okay I lately went to house of name and found info for your name. I can't copy and cement so just jump there and type surrounded by your name contained by the search engine. Your right, it is a Spanish moniker.
Just because your last cross is Spanish, it doesn't mean that you own Spanish blood.
Think about this, the black culture in the US own European names(mostly English), and they're all black as coal, so you see, they newly adopted the finishing name.
