How much do everyday things cost there food etc in mexico?
Answers:
Large stores are the place to buy most things cheaply like appliances, TV, computers, school supplies. There are Walmarts, Sams Club, Costco, etc. Mexican produce is cheaper, meat, cheese and eggs are cheaper . especially fruit. Local markets are probably the best for produce.
Rent is low, electricity is high, gas (auto) is low and interenet is about equal to US
Other answers:
You can either pay through the nose in Mexico by shopping at the big stores that are often branches of American stores or look like branches of American stores. Or you can get great deals in the marketplace. Every city -- and every district in the city -- has a public market, where vendors set up stalls. That's where you'll find the freshest produce at the best prices. Some things are very expensive -- cars, for instance, as they are imported -- but there is terrific bus service, with several different levels of carriers from air conditioned tour-bus style busses, to rattle trap open sided busses, but they are all inexpensive and a bus comes by about every 30 seconds, so you don't have to stand around and wait for one.
Housing is much less than in the US.
All in all, it's much less costly to live in Mexico, especially if you're willing to try some of the local specialties.

OK, a bus or the metro 0.25 dollars, a coke 0.5, a big pizza around 10 dollars, a beer, well it depends a lot of the place but you can buy it for 1 dollar or even 7 dollars in a very very expensive place, 2 dollars is the average. You can usually have a great meal for 10 dollars or less, say 20 if you like fancy places and maybe 50 if you don't know what to do with your money. A night in a good hotel, about 40 dollars, the rent of a car for 40 bucks a day, a night out in a cool club, say maybe 100 dollars, but you can go to a good place with about 30. Mmmm, what else?, the movies cost about 5 bucks, Wednesdays is only half of the price. Y ya.
