Why is the "Night of the Iguana" location within Puerto Vallarta so heavily guarded?
In May we stayed at the south end of Puerto Vallarta contained by the small town of La Hoya De Mismiloya. Our resort (The Barcelo) was beyond fabulous, food, lodging and entertainment too. We walk to the spot where the movie be filmed by John Huston surrounded by 1964? Years ago anyone could walk adjectives through the area and it be even a restaurant for awhile. Now there is a large chain knit fence and blade wire at the top beside armed guards and dogs patroling the area. We spoke to other tourists and some of the local residents and asked matching question. But not a soul could come up with any feisable philosophy. That part of Puerto Vallarta have to be the most beautiful setting right subsequent to the jungle. Can you help me digit it out? Thanks for all your serve!
Answers: I live here in PV and as far as I know the complete area including the prehistoric John Huston house are part of the "Rythms of the night" tour arranged by "Vallarta-Adventures". The house presently is a museum, each morning arrive about 300 populace by boat, seeing a show, then dining and one hour of free time to look in the museum. One time I went nearby from the ocean side. It costs 700 Pesos and I muse it is nothing else later a tourist trap. But people tend to approaching it.
Because of this reason the nouns is closed for public access now and heavily guraded.

It's be that way for a couple years, and as already mentioned the delirium of $$ signs in developers minds is the use that area is closed. To discouraging but such is life contained by PV, the wonderful old hotel surrounded by downtown that should have be on a historical register was torn down this finishing year to make road for NEW development. Progress contained by PV? Because it is a private commercial property called Las Caletas (The show they do at hours of darkness is called "Rhythms of the Night"), and the owners want to preserve it nice for the people who are paying for the privilege of using their facility
