Cancun mexico?
im going for the first time and im wondering what type of cloths i should bring, just as a nice dress? and anything else i should know earlier i go?
Answers: Cancun is immensely casual. If you want bring some sun dresses for hours of darkness time, if you plan to go clubbing. Resort relaxed is what most women wear. Sundress, jean skirt, capris, shorts, cover ups, a couple of bathing suits, flip flops, nice sandals, sneakers if you plan to go to the ruins and requires walking.
If you plan to draw from around on the buses, bring small bills. It's 65 cents to ride the bus. They don't like to administer change. Always count your amend where ever you jump. 1 dollar =11 pesos.
I always drink bottled sea but I brush my teeth with the touch water. (I other drink bottle water even at home)
You can use the US dollar every where on earth but be sure to bring plenty of small bills that are in perfect condition. Some places don't accept ripped or torn $$.
If you use your ATM card, remember they confer you pesos not $$ and usually they are larger bills and that's where you can capture confused.
Don't flash your jewelry or money and be a target for theft especially at dark. Stay under the radar is other good surrounded by a foreign country. Don't get within confrontations with the locals. Be respectful. I mention this because Cancun is so Americanized, you forget you are not within USA.
Remember to tip the staff at your resort even if it's all-inclusive. The service will be even better.
Remember bring half the clothes you plan on and double the money.
Enjoy your trip)
I regard as Jess is very confused.
Cancun and adjectives the towns arround it are very superb and interesting, i recomend you the regions arround Cancun, like Isla Mujeres, Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel.
Enjoy your trip, Mexico is a gorgeous country.
I took my sneakers, but it was an awful theory.
Take: At least 2 bathing suits, 1 pareo or skirts you can put over your bathing suits, sunglasses, OIL-FREE sunblock (oil kill the coral reefs, so everywhere you go it is suggested that you purchase it specially if going to do snorkel), nice & lightweight flip-flops, coast towel, backpack, lots of shorts.
Pack ligthly, many folks walk around the streets next to just the bathing suit & shorts.
Pack 1 or 2 mini skirt that will fashion you feel sexy if you plan to travel clubbing at night.
Very essential: don't pay attention to those nation who will try to sell you share times condos. When you arrive they will promise it will one and only take you partly a day and they will promise free tickets to different attractions, but it's not true. They will even approach you destitute, don't even bother to explain each one of them "you are not interested" only say "no thanks" and hold on to walking.
Have a lot of fun. Humm, i longing i could be there alreay.
i have family that go there second year, they said to try to stay in cancun because traveling to the outer cities is depressing because it is much poorer than cancun itself. You can drink the sea!
I lived in Mexico, I still call in Mexico, I'm in right health and I'm still alive !!
Some restaurants require formal attire so a nice dress would be apposite. Other than that the weather is warm and completely humid so dress casual.
Have Fun!! Do not drink the wet.
The area of the Mayan Coast is indifferent in attire. From Cancun southward near is a big variety of places to stay. Remember you are going to be surrounded by a tropical climate. This means hot and humid near winds coming bad the sea.
The sea was no problem when I be there, drinking bottled sea, purified water (restaurants, bars) and mortal careful just about what I ate. If the fruits and vegetables are freely available, I would rinse them in the hotel's slap water, we made our own rime from either bottled or hotel purified hose down (out of the tap).
