Mexico Racism?
On my vacation within Mexico,I was call "Negrito' "Chino Moreno' "Chino Moyo" 'Feo' & "Chino Negrito' and "Indio".I wss not permitted to eat at plentiful fancy restuarnts OR stay at fancy hotels either & given dirty looks by "White Mexicans" and other mexicans.Everyone on in attendance TV is white.yet deeply few mexicans are white.Why are they so racist towards dark Asians and Blacks?Most mexicans are Indians or lest %60 percent Indian. consequently they trash talk whites (Some of them ,than chack "white" on the sample.WHY?
Answers: Yes it is true. Mexico seems , surrounded by my opinion, a fundamentally racist country. Everyone wants to be white and they are resentful of those who are whiter and discriminatory towards those who are darker.
ok...i hold totally seen this considerate of racism...it's really weird. however, i don't agree next to you that most mexicans are 60% indian or more. there are copious "white" mexicans...if you are using white as a skin color.
as far as the names...that's completely common contained by mexico. people are a short time ago visual and they will point out if someone is fleshy, ugly, see, asian, or whatever. but as far as the hotel and ingestion thing...honestly, and i'm not trying to be tight...but i think that's a total nouns of crap. unless you showed up in rag, looking like you couldn't reimburse the bill, or you have the worst cholo look around...i do not for one second believe you be not allowed to munch through in nice restaurants or stay within nice hotels.
Dont take it personal...thats how are cultural is! My sister... we name her Negra cause she's dark then us..but we dont say-so it with hatred! They call me gordo effect im a little heavy...but not cause they can`t stand me...its just a sign of love! Iv be to tacos stands in mexico and they phone up me guerro(white) but they say it a nice style...its just us mexicans approaching to give gash names! I own family contained by mexico and everybody their has a label,,,everybody! But about the entering of hotels and restaurants its ensue to me to...but not cause of my skin but how i dress(sneakers) People contained by mexcio are racist against one another...the rich and middle class dont like the poor and their adjectives mexican! I've be to Mexico a dozen times and never ever saw anything like that come up to any blacks or Chinese. Money is money to them and I can't believe they wouldn't take your money because of how you look. Maybe I'm mortal ignorant and if I am, I'm remarkably very sorry, but I of late don't believe that. Oh, I believe the names they use, but I don't believe they kicked you out on your *** at "fancy restaurants and hotels". Sorry. Dear buddy, racism is asign of ignorance, spiritual and mental poverty. I don't know nearly you not being permitted to munch through at restaurants or stay at hotels, but now you know how mexicans be aware of in the US. As far as checking white on the opinion poll, that goes for see, not ethnicity. If you look at the census, it asks first see, then to further specify white hispanic, or white non-hispanic. This also applies very soon on death certificate. and just so you know mexicans don't deny anyone Indian, we are proud to be of Indian descent Rascism is a nasty subject, most folks who practice it dont even similar to to admit it, close to the old women who telephone call blacks Dakies, because they find it offensive to their "Station" to say aloud Darkie.
Sure Mexico freed their slaves before the US did, but even though it is 2007 at hand are stereotypes and hatreds that will linger for years to come, as for the WHY, not a soul can say for sure, not even I, I a short time ago like to remind you of the close to fact that if you be to look into it, stupid hatreds are more common among lower class citizens (morally, economically ect.) and just try to be a better party even if they are not trying to be.
I'm sorry that you experienced this. It's true, sadly: we mexicans are pretty racist even among ourselves (you know, at hand are this classy "VIP" clubs where there's a guy ressembling a gorilla contained by front of a chain blocking the access to everyone and picking who enter and who doesn't.... I'm white and I was subject to this concerned of treatment more than once, in which baggage I just vanished and went somewhere else, of course). I do agree that individuals who discriminate you because of the color of your skin or the $$ you have are plain unapprised and jerks, here or anywhere else within the world (people in the US aren't closely better, you know. been at hand too and it's amazing how they discriminate themselves too, especially white-vs-black). I don't think there's racism against Asian society, though, we're having more of them living here lately and I don't see them have this problem, but people beside darker skin or who don't seem to be to have $$ or nurture do.. hopefully this will change over time, because it's true we're adjectives of indian descent even if some people hold blond hair or blue eyes. that's lately genetics, it doesn't propose they're any better than people next to darker skin. The problem is that "indians" (the purer they are, the worse it gets) are related to poverty, nouns of formal/school education and laying-off. and yeah, it's true that most of the beggars you find on the street are indians, so that's why people who ressemble them are rejected automatically (and unfairly). I'm sorry that this happen to you and hope you don't get treated close to that again here or elsewhere. I somewhat agree with you,but they are adjectives not like that

If you are black, you shouldn't have problems, we assume you are foreigner, a tourist. There are tremendously few blacks in Mexico.
There are not asians or blacks at TV, because smaller number than 1% of population is from that races TOGETHER.
Yes, mexican are racist, but to other mexicans.
Anyway, I'm really sorry. I agree that racism comes from ignorance. Please, don't excuse that mexican racist, but don't think we adjectives are the same.

Yes its a shame, actually I made a similar interview saying that theres racism AGAINST WHITES IN MEXICO TOO but they say-so it is not as always, we hold every kind of racism nearby.
My mate, I am a Mexican living in Cancun, the most visit city by north Americans. It all depends on which town you've be to, because each city have a different culture (and like any other place surrounded by the world, people hold their own prejudices).
I have to speak that racism in Mexico is something that happen every day. Not singular to black or Asian visitors, but also between Mexicans. Like contained by most parts of the world, whites own the best houses, cars, etc. Unlike some white supremacists or even regular US proud citizens may think, we know that the US are not to blame for adjectives our economic, social and political problems (but we do know that your affairs of state is to blame for a great deal of problems surrounded by the whole world).
So, my direction is: Don't take it personal! I'm sure one called "negrito" or "chino" is not something that make you happy, but I'm also sure that most of the ethnic group in Mexico who call you that way didn't niggardly to be aggressive, it's just them trying to be friendly and funny, amigou! (of course it's not the best opening, but maybe the solely way they know). If you be not allowed to enter a place and you be not being rude, you weren't drunk or stoned, or dressed approaching a bum, you should complain (yes, in Mexico you can complain, too), in attendance is an office call PROFECO, and depending on the case, they can even shut the place down.
Finally, basically remember that most of our modern Third World societies have be modeled after yours! If you have racism rear in the US, what made you judge your little brother would be any different?
