How do it get international phone call while vacationing within mexico?
Answers: Last time when we were surrounded by Mexico (Cancun) we had to send for home daily since my parents be watching our daughter and we needed to keep within touch. Anyhow, the hotel had calling cards which could be used at any public phone (one be right outside our hotel). There were smooth to follow instructions on the back and it be $10 for about 20 minutes. It worked out great for us. Amazingly the public phones worked lately fine too. It saved us a nouns of money since calling from the hotel room would cost a ton.
Buy a prepaid card in Mexico for the payphones. We have some outrageous charges when we used our cell phones. We bought the phone cards for $10 US. Usually Hotel provides such service billable into your credit card.
Other options:
Phone cards that allow making oversea bid from oversea with 1800 #. Carry one near you before departure.
If you fetch mobile phone and is GSM. You could buy local prepay credit and snap the chip into the phone. It allow someone from oversea to call you as very well.
