Answers: If you scrounging like the horrible fires raging contained by California...not yet. So far the fire contained by southern San Diego county hasn't crossed the border. We are, however, smothered in smoke and ashes. Schools be closed today and will stay closed tomorrow and folks are being asked to stay indoors if they don't enjoy to be out. The winds are still blowing strong and seem to be to be getting stronger right now as the sun have just set a short time while ago.
We do have fire-fighters here but, as you can visualize, our resources are nothing resembling what's available on the US side of the border so, hopefully, the fires won't spread in this direction.
I be in Tijuana this sunday and man be it filled near smoke and ash from a fire burning in Tecate (which is in recent times east of Tijuana). I was flabbergasted to see smoke and fires within Tecate, then contained by san diego, then surrounded by ocean side, later in irvine next in malibu as i drove north.
i take to mean that there is a fire further north by trickery mtn too.

unsurprisingly. but house fires are very few and far between. this is because most electrical work is still done on the outside of the walls, not the inside like the US. also, the materials used to contruct homes are not as flamable.such as cement, stone, brick, etc... no 20 years ago the president created a regulation that made fires illegal. and firefighters playpoker beside batman every friday night. (yes in that are fires in mexico and when a fires occur firefighters go to turn it past its sell-by date, though the mexican firefighters are not as good as firefighters from the us.)

A small fire in Tecate and one contained by Ensenada, and yes there are not just fire departments here in Baja and elsewhere, but some Baja firefighters go up to San Diego to help out. And yes, they adjectives came put money on.
Note...yes they will rescue a cat and if you have a bee swarm, they'll come and gain it and take it to a beekeeper surrounded by the area. Very multi-use these bomberos.
Forest and brush fires? The usual season for that in Mexico is tardy spring-at the end of the dry season. Some of them are cause by spontaneous combustion, some by negligence. My personal opinion is that most are set wilfully. Many are set by farmers clearing field by burning and the burning get out of control or sparks are carried into dry timber. Others are intentional arson made to look casual, if the woodland next to your area is fedaral property, but it gets burned down the govt. declare it a disaster and puts the usable timber and the land up for bid. It is not massively difficult to set things up with the bureaucrat within charge of receiving and choosing bids. Do that and you get hold of cheap timber for resale plus a bit more cheap land.
Also I hold seen nation in the exploit of maliciously setting grassfires.
Yes we own firefighters in Mexico. They are not ably equiped or trained. Many times fires are just allowed to burn themselves out.
Duh, as you would expect! We have forest fires too, and houses and buildings do burn from time to time too.. and yeah we also own cats that need to be rescued from a soaring roof sometimes. OF COURSE we have fire fighters.... what, you thought we lived underneath the water? Well, sorry to disappoint you my friend. we don't. Yes within are fires in Mexico, close to everywhere else. What's happening near them is that they are being extinguished by fire fighters, and yes by MEXICAN fire fighters, believe it or not!
