I'm watching the Miss Universe competition its surrounded by Mexico in attendance is a huge negativity towards Miss USA whats up?
with adjectives the Mexicans here and still comming here that really upsets me!
Answers: Is a very difficult answer. Many Mexicans consider themselves anti-yankee. The origins of this sentiment is very outdated, when the U.S. expropriated half of the Mexican domain. However at the same time is benevolent of ironic since there are greatly of Mexicans that go to live and work to the U.S. and really adopt the american lifestyle, even if ancestors say they one and only go up near to find a job, you will see them wave american flags in their homes or their cars. Historically, the Americans havent be really nice neighbors to the Mexicans, but the Americans argue the Mexicans havent neither been nice neighbors to the Guatemalan or other Central American peoples so they shouldn't complain. So this is a outstandingly complex thing to explain and practically impossible to erradicate. But something I can guarantee is that from a personal relationship standpoint a Mexican will engender good friends next to an American, so is also very contradictive, again a massively difficult thing to explain. There is a bit of a world huge negativity towards the US right now, sorry to utter. I'm sure the negativity had nil to do with Miss USA as a being but I'm equally sure the reaction did enjoy something to do with the certainty that it was Miss USA.
On two level, the first of fairness and second of a deeper seeded resentment of US domestic and foreign policy. ( US Government policy , general public. nothing more, not out right anti-Americanism or anything.)
On fairness, as already mentioned, Miss USA falling but still making it to the top five when the money losing the show and most of the judges are American isn't going to be lost on audience.
On US Government policy, and Mexicans comming to the US, you necessitate to consider things from a different perspective.
Most Mexicans would prefer to live and work in Mexico, to stay within their own communities, to be with their friends and family. The reason they hand down is because there is a deficiency of opportunity in their own country not because they own some overwhelming desire to be in America/ be American. They are merely trying to make a better enthusiasm for themselves and their families.
Since the advent of NAFTA, thousands of small Mexican farm have be put out of business because the US exports tons of cheap corn to Mexico. For every ton of US corn imported into Mexico, 2 unofficial immigrants ratify the other way. Most of them dairy farm laborers. (National Geographic, Sept. 2003 "21st-Century Slaves).
Then, you build fences to maintain them out, fine, that's your prerogative. But what this does from their perspective is increase the amount they must pay to human smugglers, and pushes them further out into remote areas where on earth they are much more likely to die. The increased amounts they are forced to clear to human smugglers (given they have little or nothing) within many cases way they are forced into agreements where they necessitate to repay the debt working in precarious or inhumane conditions in the US. By the path, most people, Mexicans included I'm sure, grasp the difference between the US government policies and individual citizens. No mater what side you stand on you've get to admit that these are divisive times even amongst Americans at home.
