Are within any Bookstores within Merida, Yucatan Mexico?

I have a friend who moved to Merida Mexico end summer. She misses the bookstores here, but not sure if there are any in the neighbourhood. Does anyone know of a bookstore in that nouns?

Thanks,

Lisa

Answers:    There is a very nice bookstore name "Dante". This store can be found everywhere in Merida... They enjoy about three or four within the downtown area. They hold one or two in respectively mall (depending on the size of the mall). They even hold one Dante bookstore in the ruins (in respectively one of the sites). But they have a exceedingly big Dante store in Prolongacion Montejo St and it have a good changeability of books (some are in English). Good luck.
In Merida, Mexico you can find profusely of bookstores, what you friend and the lady up at hand mean possibly they are missing bookstores with books IN ENGLISH Sorry, I don't know the geography, and this could be hundreds of miles away.

However, I used to know a woman who retired rash and went near her husband to Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, and opened a bookstore. They started their inventory next to truckloads of used books purchased in the US, and I gather that many of accounts for sale in that were contained by English and sold well to the tourists.

They did this because they, too, notice the absence of bookstores when they go there on their vacation. And it should be said that they went through adjectives the official channel and all the sanctioned red tape surrounded by order to realize this dream.

The bookstore, Alma Libre, have since been sold, but she's written and published a few books and online articles in the region of the area.

If you approaching, you can read more of her story and see what books she's written here:

Sure there are. Just resembling any other city. They have a Public Library too... do you expect mexicans don't read??
of course they own bookstores
Librerias de cristal
Gahndi
or sanborns are big national chains
Merida has abundantly of culture, you should really get a map and read for a adapt. Tell your friend to leave her room and try to know the city, any trip downtown will procure her to the bookstores (hint hint, they are call "librerías").
