Can I bring my pet rabbit into Mexico?

I'm moving to Mexico for a year or two and need to know if I can bring my pet rabbit along.

Answers:    You will inevitability a certificate of condition for the pet issued by a certified veterinarian issued within fifteen days of departure. You also obligation a valid certificate of inoculation showing that your pet has have all its vaccination within fifteen days of departure.

It would be best to phone Mexican government office directly for complete information. Contact the nearest Mexican Consulate in the United States, or the "Dirección General de Inspeccion Fitozoosanitaria" contained by Mexico City, Tel. 011-52-55-5571-3124 Fax 011-52-55-5784-3231.

You can also get adjectives information from several U.S. agencies, including:

U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
U.S.Customs Service.
Center for Disease Control.

You will also need a vet check like peas in a pod for return.
**If you are flying check with the airline, copious only adopt dogs and cats. Do not "check" your bun. Get him a small carrier for below the seat. Ask your vet for tips**

I would definately contact the embassy. There are currently no approved or required vaccines for rabbits contained by the US. Having him neutered would be a GREAT IDEA!

***** Thinking the worse, if you can not filch your bun with you please do not "turn him loose" He can not survive. Most shelters are "Kill" shelters and are also not equipt to appropriate buns. They are often housed next to cats and dogs, which is very startling for them. Here is a list of rabbit rescues by state:

And even though you own had your bun for a while, I still want to offer you a bunny care guide: http://www.rabbitsanctuary.org/pdf/BUNBA...
If you are moving here for a year or two, you will inevitability a visa. Ask about the rabbit at the Mexican consulate when you apply for a visa. I know you must hold current vet health licence and shot records to bring a dog into Mexico, so I am sure you would requirement the same for a rabbit. Sopa de conejo, muy sabrosa!
only just put it in a rucksack, cross the San Diego/Tijuana(I think) border, then simply drive to your home. If you are further into Mexico, simply say aloud that you bought it in Tijuana. Yes you can. But you own have to buy it a plane ticket it costs around $50
Very interesting that you are bringing a rabbit! I did like peas in a pod thing roughly speaking 3 years ago. My question to you..where on earth are you coming from? To bring an animal to Mexico, you have to gather round certain requirements (called HOJA DE REQUISITIOS ZOOSANITARIOS) set by the agriculture department. And it's not as graceful as you think to come across them. I brought my rabbit from Honduras to Mexico.and that had never happen in the history of Mexico since...so they did not have the requirements even written but. By requirements, I mean a current vet bill of condition, shots, special information signed and authorized by a vet at home. So, before I come, I contacted Mexico City (I was flying there), get the requirements from this guy named Arturo Villalobos (agriculture department surrounded by MX City, 011 55 91 83 10 00) by e-mail (avillalo(a)yahoo.com). Anyway, even when I got here, they took my rabbit at the airport and put her within quarantine for 3 days. I had to run around Mexico City for 3 days waiting on their signature on these requirements I have to meet. Finally, on daytime three, I just started crying at the agriculture department, and they agree to me have her, on the condition that I would bring in 30 days a registered bill of health by a vet working for the agriculture department. I will put on alert you.if you are willing to spend around $200 and A LOT of time, you can bring your rabbit. YOU MUST CALL AND ASK THEM THE REQUIRMENTS FOR YOUR COUNTRY BEFORE COMING. Once you are here, it's too late to travel back and attain them. You have to spawn up your mind...will you stay and fight for her, or will you present up? If you would give up, go away her at home with somebody who will nick care of her. Good luck! By the track, the messages above work for cats and dogs entering Mexico. Rabbits are considered rodents here.and they are only passed on special cases. IT IS NOT EASY LIKE THE WRITERS ABOVE ARE DESCRIBING. I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE. NO
very well i think u can!!
if ur diving u can or if ur flying than u can filch it too.
