Anyone ever gone to Cozumel, Mexico?
I mgoing on saturday. Whats cool to do there. Did anyone stay at the Sol Melia? Whats the weather close to this time of year?
Answers: I just get back precipitate this morning from Cozumel and it was lovely. The weather's a bit stormy right now, more so than usual, but we be still able to capture sun. I'd make sure you pack a lower SPF if you want to carry a tan while you're out walking or sunning and bring a restrained jacket. Also, pack an umbrella and closed toed shoes in skin it rains.
If you're ancient enough or are beside someone old plenty, I would rent a car and drive around the island. We stopped at a few coast clubs (places you pay a small right of entry to so that you can rest on their beach and play beside their water equipment) and get out to walk a great deal because the scenery be so beautiful. Stop at Coconut's at the turn and try to find a table right on the cliff for some delicious food and gorgeous view. Also, if that's your thing, the Mayan ruins are to the right as you create your way pay for into town and can be kinda cool to look at if you have the time and walking shoes.
If you want to find worthy restaurants, I'd tell you to hoof it off the defeated path. We found the best local restaurant on some side street between the cruise terminal and ship dock where they treated us so capably and where we have the best Mexican food.
I didn't stay at the Sol Melia but it was one of the hotels that we did look at when we be deciding. It looks nice ample but remember not to drink the water unless it comes from a desalinization plant or is purified and mind your Ps and Qs about have food in your room since ants can sneak contained by and stuff themselves on your crumbs.
Last thing, if you aren't flying directly into Cozumel and establish to take a ship, TAKE MOTION SICKNESS MEDICINE. I wish that somebody have told me that or that I at least have the foresight to grab a sick backpack when they were hand them out because I was not prepared for that boat. I don't generally get motion/sea sickness but I be no match for the 15-20 foot breakers.
