Best time to cross San Ysidro border coming into US?
Today we waited for an hour and a partially to cross the San Ysidro border to come home to the US. We live in San Diego, in the region of 15 min from the border, and it is so frustrating to sit for that long, so close to home! We would be happy to spend more time contained by Mexico having fun, and cross the border at a different time.so the request for information is to those of you that cross regularly: What is the best time to cross back to the US to avoid a long lurk? If there are different times for weekends vs. weekdays, it would be great if you could record those too. Thank you!
Answers: monday-thursday you usually dont have to hang about more then 20 minutes if you cross rash in the morning.
if you lurk to cross later on surrounded by the day after i would wait till after 9.i usually enjoy no problems crossing at those times so hopefully you dont either.
friday-sundar is the worst.ive wait in flash for over 2 hours, and theres really no best time for these days. approaching someone already said, check out the local radio stations because they usually tell you how oodles cars are crossing from san ysidro and otay.that way you can gain an idea..or you could other cross the border walking
Usually 9am and 12 midnight is a good path to cross back since not so several people dance at these times. However, it really varies everyday so I suggest you listen to a radio station that announces the comings and goings in the border- so you'll know how heaps people are asking. You;re going to enjoy to ask a local though because I don't remember which station anymore. it used to be either 9:30am, or most days 3:30pm.. but since the fires it's be over an hour almost constantly.
Lately, there is no best time. The political mavens save meeting contained by DC and talk in the region of opening up exotic crossings. It hasn't happened even so. Nobody seems to realize that the reduction on both sides of the border suffers because of the long waits. I own to cross tomorrow and dreading it.
