Answers: Okay, the MagicJack will work anywhere within the earth that have a BROADBAND connection ie. Cable or DSL (at least). How it works is close to this. Someone in the United States(or beside a US address) has to own it registered (that's how Vonage works too) and you can take it anywhere, plug it surrounded by and you're abale to call surrounded by about 2 minutes or smaller number.
Sone things I found out though...the hard approach
1) LIMITED area code choices - I live contained by Illinois and Chose a CALIFORNIA number so I got an invite to Grandcentral.com and get a local number that simultaniously rings to my MagicJack. also if you get a MagicJack and your friends achieve MagicJacks it doesn't matter because you will enjoy FREE unlimited calling in the US.
2) give the name forwarding to a number of your choice is apposite - I use my cell phone.
3) customer Service is a downfall though BUT they do their best - This is a TRUE story - I had the MagicJack for 5 days and couldn't achieve to work and i had 14 tech support conversations. After the 14th one, I go to the other computer (which was logged contained by under our son's account) I plugged the MagicJack contained by and POOF it worked! So from there I figure out that in establish to use the MagicJack you have to own a "LIMITED" user account on a computer. I be trying to install this item on "ADMINISTRATOR" user accounts. To prove that I wasn't crazy I created a NEW account and call it "MagicJackUser" and made it a "LIMITED" account and back you know it, it WOKED!
