Answers: I agree. Take the bus to Buenos Aires and then hop a transport (only 50 minutes!) from BA to Colonia. I did that in August and completely loved it.
Colonia de Sacremento is a short ferry ride from Buenos Aires. On a bus from Cordoba you would enjoy to go to Montevideo and after to Colonia. I think it would probably be better to be in motion to Buenos Aires because you would have more option and it would not be a longer trip.
