Can anyone recommend dutiful places to call round surrounded by South America and why?

I'd like to dance off the crushed track as well as the popular places.

Answers:    This is what I wrote to another individual in this same category. It will offer you a glimpse of all the places I could recommend you to stop by. Why these? well, you cannot see everything surrounded by one visit so I'll start near these and then be in motion on to others.
I'll try and make it short:
Peru: Machu Picchu contained by Cuzco, lake Titicaca within Puno, Caral (the oldest city in adjectives Latin America).
Chile: easter island and its Moais, Atacama desert, Lakes and fiords in the south, Torres del Paine (south within Punta Arenas)
Ecuador: galapagos islands, equator line.
Uruguay: Punta del este (famous seaside resort)
Paraguay: Misiones churches from the Jesuits.
Argentina: pampas, estancias, Patagonia region, Mendoza.
Colombia: Cathedral of saline near Bogota.
Venezuela: parque nacional Morrocoy.
Brazil: Rio, Buzios, Angra, Bahia.

I could probably progress on forever, this is just a highly short glimpse of the beauty of south America, and I even didn't finish next to all the south american countries!
mmm Cartagena! you will love it!! you can relax, forget around everything and Cartagena is well set as one of the most beautiful cities surrounded by the world..Bogota is really cultural, too much museums(the best gold museum contained by latin america), San gil, Santander, San gil is the xtrem city. Montenegro, there is a park call parque del cafe, a few minutes away from Armenia. San Andres...san andres is an island known as the city next to the sea of the 7 colors...i will never pause...so go to Colombia, you wouldnt want to come stern!! good luck "El Salto Angel" the world's tallest flume is in Venezuela surrounded by the amazon jungle. Venezuela also has pretty beaches approaching the ones in the Morrocoy Keys, Los Roques and Margarita Islands newly to name a few. Recently I go to a small village call Chuao of the coasts of Aragua where they own a cocoa plantation and have plentiful traditional religious festivities resembling the dancing devils.
There are abundant beautiful places surrounded by South America. In Brazil, there are dazzling beaches:

In Argentina, you will find places resembling this.
Ushuaia: http://www.cabosandiego.com.ar/images/us...

Perito Moreno Glacier: http://cvander.com/wp-content/imagenes/g...

Bariloche: http://www.ericatour.com.ar/imagenes/tou...

Buenos Aires: http://www.guiaturisticadebuenosaires.co...

Iguazú Falls: http://www.tangosargentina.com/fotosv/8-...
Off the beaten track would be Curtiba, Brazil, also Iguassu Falls, which is where on earth Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay all come together. These are adjectives inland.

So. America's a big country, you may wish to consider Peru, Chile, Bolivia.....you entail to narrow your choices down to get hold of better information.
I'll suggest you to go to Colombia. There you can find everything. If you close to the beach, dance to San Andrés, Cartagena or Santa Marta. If you prefer mountains, go to Bogotá or Tunja. If you wanna know more nearly coffee, visit the "Coffee-Zone" (Manizales, Pereira and Armenia). If you wanna know a highly traditional city, go to Pasto....
Anyway, you should expect first in what do you want, next look for it in Colombia.
