Does anyone recommend unshakable driving map for Costa Rica?

Answers:    Here, in CR, road map are not very used, because they lately show you important roads or some of the roads next to name as Paseo Colón or Avenida Segunda. Try to print map from www.mapealo.com there appear MOST of the roads within San Jose. If you need some comfort driving, just ask locals, they may notify you.
All the information about Costa Rica you can find it at www.direct2costarica.web
Good luck in your probing. An author from "WeLoveCostaRica.com" states that the best map they have found after 7 years of penetrating is at:

or else, oodles of the car rental companies contained by Costa Rica provide pretty good map as well and they usually come next to the rental. (Ask for it, if there's not one in the glove compartment.)
if you are renting a vehicle you can rent a GPS. I just did a month ago and it be great.I would get a map as a spinal column up and the car rental company can supply that. The map are not very adjectives in Costa Rica. Most of the map only show the crucial roads. You can ask for map when you rent a car but I agree next to the above post, about also renting a GPS.
Another great resource, stop and ask for directions. Ticos are drastically friendly and they will be happy to give a hand you. Just try not stop in suspicious places.
You can find a map contained by any bookstore/souvenir store in San Jose.
