Answers: If you're talking visa-wise, after yes, it's easier for you to go nearby than it is for them to go to your country. Colombia is a fantastic country that sadly has a fruitless name/ fame due to drugs. You're only about as protected there as you are surrounded by your own country. It's really unlikely you'll be exposed to situations where a kidnap is likely to transpire. (I reckon that is the distress you have)

It is safe to run to Colombia. As safe as going anywhere else.
Me and my hubby are going within December. We'll spend a whole month here. You just obligation to be careful where on earth you go, that's adjectives.
