With "mil pesos" you can buy the following things:
- 3 newspaper "El Mercurio" (the most complete of all)
- 1 Coca Cola (2 litros) (the pro is $800 so so)
- 1 kilogramo and a half of bread.
- 1 watermelon (the price is $800 so so)
- 1/4 of a bus ticket from Santiago to Vi~na del Mar (in the coast).
- Sockets
- 2 US dollars by immediately.

Two specs of "Mote con huesillo" (500 each), a traditional dessert over there. It's relatively, tasty, if truth be told. It is made of peach and wheat.
By the way, this is the price surrounded by the street. If you go to a restaurant it might be 750 for respectively glass. And it is the price I remember from my 2006 trip...
